Dr. Frank Sun, D.D.S., P.C.

Dr. Sun received his B.D.S. in 1983 from Dental Department at Xi'an Jiao-Tu University, and his M.S. in Dental and Biological Materials in 1986 from Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. After his graduation, Dr. Sun taught, led the research and conducted clinical practice at School of Dentistry, Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. In 1991, he moved to the United States for further study in dentistry.

From 1991 to 1996, Dr. Sun was involved in the research in the fields of dental materials, biomaterials and biology of the mineralized tissues at School of Dentistry, the University of Michigan, and had several publications on the journals of those fields.

Dr. Sun received his M.S. in Dental Materials in 1996 and D.D.S. in 1999 from the University of Michigan. He joined the Division of Prothodontics on July 15, 1999. He taught Prosthodontics as a clinical adjunct assistant professor at School of Dentistry, the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2003.

During the same period, Dr. Sun received multiple awards for his outstanding work, including the First Place in the Procter & Gamble Ohio Valley Region Dental Research Competition, the Floyd A Peyton for Dental Materials, and the Francis B. Vedder Society of Crown and Bridge Prosthedontics.

Dr. Sun has been practicing general dentistry in Southeastern Michigan since 1999. He's a member of American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and Washtenaw District Dental Society.

Dr. Grace Wu,  DDS, MS, PC

Dr. Wu received her B.D.S. in 1984 from Dental Department at Xi'an Jiao-Tu University, and her M.S. in Dental and Biological Materials in 1987 from Shanghai Jiao-Tu University. After her graduation, Dr. Wu focused on the research and teaching job of Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Shanghai Jiao-Tu University.

Between 1992 and 1996, Dr Wu was involved in the Biochemistry research at the School of Medicine in the University of Michigan. Her research work was published on the Journal of Biological Chemistry in 1996.

In 1999, Dr. Wu received her D.D.S from the University of Michigan, as one of the top ten graduate students in her class with membership of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental society.

Dr. Wu has been practicing general dentistry in Michigan since 1999. She's a member of American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and Washtenaw District Dental Society.

Dr. Zhaozhao (Michelle) Chen,  DDS, MS, PhD                                 .


Dr. Chen is a periodontist who graduated from the University of Michigan with a prestigious award, Sigurd P. Ramfjord Award for Excellence in Graduate Periodontics. She obtained her dental degree from West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University (China), and holds a specialist degree and Ph.D. degree in Implantology and Prosthodontics from the same institution.

 Dr. Chen currently serves as a full-time clinical faculty at the University of Michigan, where she actively engages in both didactic and clinical instruction for predoctoral and graduate periodontal residents. Her research focuses on dental implants, soft tissue, and digital dentistry. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles, and she also serves as a reviewer for several international journals.

 Dr. Chen is very compassionate and empathetic. Her philosophy of patient care is evidence-based, personalized, and delivered in a gentle manner.


Dr. Yina Li,  DMD, PhD, MS

Dr. Li obtained her DMD degree at the University of Connecticut, graduating with honors and awards such as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievement and patient care. Prior to dental school, she also pursued a Ph.D degree in Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Dr. Li completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of North Carolina, and received many awards during residency, most notably the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award in Basic Science from the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Li is an American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) board certified orthodontist.

Dr. Li has relocated to Michigan in 2019 in order to be close to family and close friends. Besides private practice, she is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan where she teaches the residents for clinical cares.
